Bespoke bench sets or everything your sauna needs—exactly as you wish
Our bespoke bench sets are delivered ready for installation, so all you need to do is complete the assembly. The set includes the benches, wall supports and fasteners, as well as the installation and maintenance instructions. The benches can be fully tailored to your dimensions.
The design service is included in the price of our bespoke bench sets. In the Pirkanmaa region, we also perform site visits to check your dimensions.
In addition to bespoke bench sets, we also offer sauna packages complete with wall panels, bespoke benches ready for installation (or bench boards), stove, lighting and glass walls. The installation of the benches and the delivery of the complete sauna package can also be included in the order.
The stoves available through Karava are by Finnish manufacturers. The lighting solutions are supplied by Cariitti Oy and the glass walls by JVG Laseja Oy. Both companies offer installation services in Pirkanmaa and the capital region, but installation can also be arranged anywhere else in Finland when necessary.
The Finnish name Kovera refers to the concave shape of the seat, which is more than just an aesthetic feature. The gently curved shape also serves important functions, as it makes for a very comfortable seat and ensures that water runs down to the middle seam and off the bench. Kovera benches are available in a straight configuration, L configuration, or a corner configuration with a 45-degree angle. The front of the bench includes a groove for lighting as a standard feature. The bottom bench is typically manufactured as a shelf-type platform using wide bench boards.
If you are looking for a bench that is even sturdier than usual, look no further. The glued laminated timber structure ensures that even very wide boards stay dimensionally stable without warping or twisting. We manufacture 40 mm thick and 150 to 300 mm wide benches from the following types of wood: alder, aspen and thermo aspen. The edges of the bench boards are R2 rounded.
